Thank you for supporting the Ed Walsh Foundation
Your support allows us to carry out the Foundation’s mission of helping Boston-area families in need. We’re spreading smiles to kids in school and sports and keeping Ed’s giving spirit alive. Without your support we wouldn’t be able to give back to the community and carry-on Ed’s legacy. Thank you to everyone who has donated to the Foundation, sponsored an event, volunteered your time, or joined us at one of our fundraising events. Please know how much we appreciate your generosity and support!

Pizza Party at Franciscan Hospital (August 25, 2015)
Thank you to Bill, Kate, Molly, Peggy, Glen, Maura and Maurin for taking time out of your busy schedules to join us at a pizza party for the kids on the mental health unit at Franciscan Hospital. Proof that it’s the little things that matter most in life. Pizza, trivia and bringing laughter to children. Couldn’t be any easier than that! Our friend Sean Gavin started this tradition and Ed always loved helping out. We’re thrilled that the Foundation is able to continue Ed’s work.
Blazing Paddles at Game On! Fenway (July 22, 2015)
Thank you to Brittany, Harry and all of the staff at Game On! for hosting us and for making it such a fun event. And thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy a summer night at Fenway. It’s not every day that you get to take a swing like the pros in the Red Sox visitor batting cage. With your support we raised $5,000 to go towards our Smile-On Grant program.
Franciscan Hospital for Children’s 5k/10k Road Race (July 18, 2015)
Thank you so much to everyone who came out to join us at the Franciscan Road Race. Some people couldn’t join us in West Roxbury, but walked as part of our virtual team. It was a great, family day and so nice to have 50+ people on the team. All together, the team raised over $6,100 for Franciscan Hospital. Thank you for such a strong team and a great day in Ed’s honor!
Playground Project
Thank you to everyone who purchased a raffle ticket to help support a local school raising funds to build a new playground. The Ed Walsh Foundation was credited with raising over $8,500 for this project. We love being able to lend our support to organizations doing great work for children.
2014 Ed Walsh Wiffle® Ball Tournament
The 1st annual Ed Walsh Wiffle® Ball Tournament was a great day and the perfect way to kick-off fundraising for the Ed Walsh Foundation. As our first event we weren’t quite sure what to expect for numbers, but typical to everything about Ed, this day was big! With 48 teams and 213 players, we raised over $16,000 and were able to make donations in Ed’s memory to Parkway Pop Warner, the YMCA, Franciscan Hospital for Children and many more. Click here to read more about last year’s event.
