The Ed Walsh Foundation is thrilled to announce the roll-out of the Smile-On Grant program. In the face of adversity, our philosophy is that you have to keep smiling. It was how Ed lived his life and it is the attitude I've tried to instill in our children.
The Ed Walsh Foundation was created to carry on Ed's legacy, continue the work that he did helping children in need and celebrate his pride and joy, our children. The Smile-On Grant is one way the Foundation aims to carry out this mission.
Designed to help parents, teachers, coaches and specialists who work with children with special needs, my hope is that we can spread a little joy to those who deserve it. For every teacher who spends her own money buying educational games, toys and supplies for her classroom; To every parent of a child with a disability who faces the expense of buying the right “stuff” to satisfy a child's needs. Our hope is that the Smile-On Grant can help cover some of these costs so that no one goes without.
